The Service Children’s Network was formerly known as the Service Families Strategy Group. In 2022 this group became the Service Children’s Network with Angela Campbell, Service Children’s Champion, as chair of the SCN. The number of members attending the termly meetings online has steadily grown in the last year.
The meetings consist of two halves. Initial Briefings is aimed at SLT members from schools, Unit Welfare Officers, Military representatives and Local Authority members. Key national and local updates are shared along with news of any upcoming events.
The second half is for CPD and Networking. Each term this section of the meeting features guest speakers from a range of organisations and a SCN Surgery. This part of the termly meeting is aimed at school-based advocates.
