Armed Forces Day for Children 2024
Building on the success of AFD23 we are back with a bang in 2024! Armed Forces Day for Children is organised by Catterick Garrison Headquarters and features contributions from a wider ange of military units and other organisations.
Children from schools across the county attend and Service pupils are encouraged to bring a civilian friend so that they can gain an insight into what their parents do. The event features music from a military band, displays, activities, food and even a mass PT warm up session. Last year the young people were also able to see a Tiger Moth plane flying over the site which certainly added to the excitement of the day.
This event can only be booked by school based Service Children Advocates, it is not open to individual children and families.
