Held annually in Catterick Garrison, Armed Forces Day for Children is a joyful celebration of the resilience and pride of our Armed Forces community. Organised by Catterick Garrison HQ and with assistance from the Service Children’s Champion, the event brings together hundreds of children from across North Yorkshire for a day filled with music, activities, and connection.

This year’s event on 11th June 2025 created many unforgettable moments—from ‘DJ Dave’ and interactive military displays to a fun assualt course and VR headsets. Children explored activity stands hosted by local units, enjoyed a warm welcome and group warm-up, and shared lunch provided by an Army field kitchen.

It’s a day designed to honour their unique experiences and celebrate their strength.
